From the Coach's Desk:

This weekend the boys are playing in the Plano Labor Day Tournament.  Our first game we played a Comets Blue team (classic league 3 team).  They weren't a very good team collectively but they had a very good forward who was extremely dangerous.  They were your typical kickball team. But the boys effort was just not there.  We didn't show up to play in any shape or fashion.  They beat us to every ball.  They out-worked us.

the 2nd game of the Plano Labor Day tournament we played against Club Classic Oranje (Classic League 2 team).,  We played extremely well.  We out-worked this team.  We played our game of soccer.  We had our chances to win but couldn't finish in the final third.  Playing against a quality team such as this it allows me to see what players have heart and which do not.

The 3rd game of the plano labor day tournament we played against United '99 (classic League 3 team).  This is a quality opponent.  We have several chances to score but couldn'tt capitalize.  Nick Hart had a chance.  Brett Barry had a chance.  And even Roberto Rodriguez had an opportunity.  We just couldn't finish.  We made a small mistake in the back that cost us one goal.  After they scored 1 goal, the boys just rolled over after that.  They proceeded to score one more goal.  Our goal keeper came out and didn't secure the ball so they just followed up with another goal.  We lost 2-0.

Our League play starts Thursday versus Manchester Blue

Remember..............soccer is 90% heart, 5% skill, and 5% brains (who can out-smart who).  You must have heart to be a winner in SOCCER.
